Wexli Academy are working with schools across the country to deliver inspirational and innovative workshops to children and young people.

Therefore, if you feel we do not currently offer a workshop to meet the needs of your school and pupils, please get in touch to see how we can work together to provide this for you.
Dealing With Grief through The Arts
Aim:
To empower children and young people with the skills and methods for dealing with grief.
Objectives:
1. To encourage children and young people to use the arts bla bla.
2. To provide children a space to express themselves through the arts.
3. For each child to leave the workshop with a set of skills they can utilise when dealing with grief.

Anxiety Through The Arts - Book Theme
Aim:
For all children to be actively involved in using and developing their speaking and listening skills, using drama based on the book ‘What If…?’ by Anthony Browne - relating to the book’s theme of anxiety and mental health.
NC Objectives:
1. use spoken language to develop understanding through speculating, hypothesising, imagining and exploring ideas
2. speak audibly and fluently with an increasing command of Standard English
3. participate in discussions, presentations, performances and role play/improvisations
4. gain, maintain and monitor the interest of the listener(s)
Positive Mental Health through The Arts
Aim:
To empower children and young people with the skills and methods for positive mental health.
Objectives:
1. To encourage children and young people to use the arts bla bla.
2. To provide children a space to express themselves through the arts.
3. For each child to leave the workshop with a set of skills so they are able to sustain positive mental health.

Wellbeing through The Arts
Aim:
For all children to take on a new challenge (stepping out of their comfort zones), by learning a performance, through song and dance, to ‘This Is Me’ by Keala Settle (from the film ‘The Greatest Showman’) - relating to the subject matter of positive self-belief and being proud of yourself.
NC Objectives:
1. continue to apply and develop a broader range of skills, learning how to use them in different ways and to link them to make actions and sequences of movement.
